Executive Management Team

Greg Powell,
President & CEO
Mr. Powell has over 15 years' experience in organizing software development teams and leading them through to the successful completion of high technology security projects. Prior to co-founding Valicore, he led engineering development teams for security companies and media content management system providers. Mr. Powell designed and developed several generations of cryptographic microprocessors, accelerators and personal security tokens for both commercial and government applications. Mr. Powell was a key developer of the first commercial SSL accelerator, and is the holder of a U.S. patent for high performance cryptographic processors. For pay television satellite set top boxes, he and his team coordinated the development of conditional access security processors.
Mr. Powell holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.

Ken Konechy, Vice President
Mr. Konechy brings 35 years of technology and executive management experience to his work at Valicore. Prior to co-founding Valicore, Mr. Konechy was a co-founder and VP of Engineering at the Internet Security Group, a business unit of Rainbow Technologies, Inc. Mr. Konechy has long-term experience directing product development for hardware and software security products on diverse product lines, including software piracy protection, digital certificate tokens, and WEB Server SSL accelerators. He has overseen the manufacturing of high-volume, high-quality designs for cryptographic export controlled intellectual properties, and has an in-depth understanding of the security certification process including Common Criteria and the FIPS 140 standards.
Mr. Konechy holds an MSEE from the University of Pittsburgh and is the named co-inventor on two U.S. patents.

Jason Dorsey, Principal Architect
Mr. Dorsey serves as a tiger team lead, ensuring critical project and high-risk development tasks are on track. Prior to co-founding Valicore, he defined software development strategies and assessed new technologies and trends. His technical leadership guided the development of cryptographic middleware libraries and high performance extensions for leading SSL based WEB servers. Mr. Dorsey also served as the principal engineer in charge of testing cryptographic accelerator products, and has lead the development of secure cryptographic subsystems supporting a Java run-time environment for Government Common Access Cards (CAC), personal security tokens and Type I embedded control systems for configurable network link encryptors.
Mr. Dorsey holds a BS in Computer Science from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

Peter Craig, Chairman & Chief Business Development Officer
Mr. Craig has over 35 years of board and executive leadership for innovative technology companies providing IT infrastructure and enterprise application products and services and which range in size from pre-revenue to publicly traded NASDAQ companies. He has held senior operating executive positions in marketing, product management, sales, manufacturing operations and product development. Mr. Craig was a co-founder and Group Executive of the Internet Security Group, a business unit of Rainbow Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:RNBO), as well as Vice Chairman of the Board. He has also served as a national board member of the American Electronics Association.
Mr. Craig holds an MSEE from the University of Minnesota, and has completed post graduate programs at University of California, Irvine, and at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. |
